decisions, decisions

I splurged. Ok, I waited until I knew exactly how much I would have in bills this month, and how much I was going to make. [I will NOT go into debt for shoes!] [And when I realized I couldn’t afford to buy Tracy two new tires for her Suburban, I thought I might as well spend it on me.] So when I had a small surplus, I logged in to Zappos — definitely my favorite online shoe store. They have free shipping both ways. And if you’re a Zappos VIP customer . . like I am . . you get free overnight shipping. I ordered shoes on Wednesday, and presto, they were on my doorstep when I got home from work on Thursday! I ordered two sizes and three colors so that I could try on, walk around in the comfort of my own living room, and decided.

That was hard!

I can’t decide! I love the Keen Voyageur. I love the Keen Targhee. I love the Keen Venice sandals. They all have great support. They are made extremely well, and let’s face it. I need a good pair of walking shoes. Last year I bought a pair of Nike shoes I thought would do the job for me, but No.

They just aren’t the same. I did by a pair of Teva Optimum Leather [pronounced Teh’ vah — a Hebrew word] sandals that I simply adore.

I love the adjustable strap, the good support and insole and the protected toe. Well, they say it much better than I —

  • The Omnium Leather sandal is versatile enough for all of your adventures.
  • Waterproof full-grain leather upper.
  • Quick-release buckle for easy entry/exit.
  • Integrated toe-protection.
  • Encapsulated Shoc Pad™ in the heel.
  • Microban® zinc based anti-microbial protection.
  • Soft, compression molded EVA midsole.
  • Non-marking, Spider Rubber® outsole.

I really want to love the Keen sandals as much, but it’s a no brainer. The quick release buckle just ain’t there! Back in the box for the free return shipping.

Thank you  Zappos!
