so . . .

Is it the Elephant in the Living Room and no one told me?

147 tops hanging in the basement in the sewing room and 221 tops in my bedroom closet. That’s not counting the 29 tops in the laundry.

I was seriously considering getting another 8-foot bar for the basement, but decided maybe it was too many. My rule for everyone else is, If you haven’t used/worn/seen it in two years, get rid of it. But my rule for myself is Even though I haven’t used/worn/seen it in two years, maybe I will need it when the world comes to an end. Or maybe I will need to make rag rugs. It is so much easier for me to throw/haul away stuff at someone else’s house.

Oh, Wait. I also have two rows of shirts in hubby’s closet.

I know. I know!

I have medium, large and extra larges and my fear is that I will gain ten-fifteen pounds and not fit into the smaller sizes. So I hang on to them. Or I think, should I really throw these away when there are people in the family who could possibly use these?

I don’t know. I don’t know!

OK. Cross off the ‘one hundred.’ I found another 25 or so in the other closet. This is bitter/sweet for me. Lot’s of those things I adore! But maybe someone else can use them. I really don’t want to grow back into those tops.

That’s right – you really don’t. You don’t need to hold onto them. Wow – that is a lot of clothes!!! Mine don’t even fill my side of the closet – and quite a few of those that I have are not the right size now. I’m way on the other end of this thing, tho. I really wish/need some more cute clothes!
