I see sea shells on the sea shore

What the heck is all this ‘sans’ stuff? I mean, seriously, why not just use the word we’ve all grown up with and have known for the last six decades? I had to look it up a couple of weeks ago and since then I’ve seen it on at least eleven blogs.

Ask.com:

The word sans means without. For instance, if someone was to say, “I’d like a burger sans cheese,” this means that they do not want any cheese on their burger.

“Hello! I’d like a burger with no cheese. Oh, wait, I’m cool. I’d like my burger sans cheese.” Chances are if I said that at Mc D’s I’d get a burger with cheese and a pile of sand!

OK , whatever.

[I was, seriously, in the middle of reading a blog and had to stop mid-read and type this up!]
