My cute, adorable daughter is going to have to suck it up — all by herself. I feel bad I can’t be with her tomorrow.
Seriously, Mom? You have to work?
Here she is camping out with us for almost two weeks.
About six weeks ago she had ACL, MCL, meniscus, and patellae surgery and something is going on inside her knee. Beside the fact that she fell hard one day at Green River Lakes, her knee just isn’t healing the way it should be by now. She’s getting an epidural so they can put about a ton of weight on her knee to make it go down flat. Then, they will put her under so they can basically kick her butt with a bunch of twisting and pulling and yanking to get some more range of motion going. I think they are just going to loosen up her scar tissue so it can heal in other directions than it has been. Ugh.
OK. I’m not a doctor, but I played one on TV.
To me, that seems like a little bit of trauma going on inside her leg.
Anyhoo, I won’t be able to be there with her because it’s teachers’ first day back and we have all sorts of training and expectations and then the annual welcome-back dinner at 6:00. Of all the days in a week, Tuesday is the only day that doesn’t work for me.
And I’m so, so sorry, Kelle.
