Hey! Almost two weeks at GRL! [pictures coming as soon as I find my camera . . .] And GUESS WHAT!!!! I ate so dang healthy! I only had two no-bake carob cookies, completely skipped TWO birthday cakes and was able to resist all the junk that everyone else took up there.
‘Yay for me,’ is pretty much all I can say! Thank you very much!
146.5 when I got on the scale this morning.
And the funniest thing happened at work today. [Yes, back to my ten-hour days, although most of our summer work is actually done by now so it was a titch boring and difficult to even find something to do.] My good friend, JoAnn Hallam, was just heading out the back door when she peeked back in to ask me what kind of jeans I had on today. I said, “Oh, just my regulars from Wal-Mart . . . men’s Faded Glory.” She said, “You’re kidding!!! They look so cute on you . . . so you must have lost weigh, is that it?” [She has a lot of italics in her voice . . .] Me: “Well maybe a little. [THANKS FOR NOTICING!!! I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!!”]
Yup, it’s all been worth it!
I took protein bars, tons of water, chicken and mozzarella dogs, yogurt, dried cherries and granola, stuff for egg-salad sandwiches on whole-wheat, cottage cheese and pineapple chunks, wheat bagels, light [whipped] cream cheese and all-fruit raspberry spread, Adams peanut butter, lots of fruit and veggies, lots of Kashi, three huge bottles of grapfruit sections and some healthy seasoned puffed-rice chips.
It was, seriously, pretty easy. I’m sure it helped that I already had worked sugar out of my life. So all those nasty cravings were gone and will-power was my best friend.
OK, one day I ate some chips. But that was one day, and not very many!
As my mama always said, the proof is in the pudding. And the proof is on the scale. So it probably sounds like I’m just about breaking my arm patting myself on the back because I’m just so dang happy!!!!!
But, seriously, isn’t it about time! I bet you’re even a little bit happy for me!
